First Impression

Since I am a self taugh intermediate level piano and keyboard player, who have learnt through nothing but Youtube, honestly my first reaction after checking out their member’s area was ”What the heck!”. Scrolling through the lessons, I realized that I wasted a lot of time when I started on with Piano myself. Most of my time would go in vain searching for the lessons. I realized I went through a lot of unnecessary things like learning theory the wrong way etc, which were quite demotivating at times. If I had access to Rocket Piano when I started learning Piano, I would have been on a totally different level now as a Piano player.

In short, right from the moment you first access Rocket Piano member’s area, you will find that the lessons have been organized very well and broken down into modules.

Simple Yet Powerful Approach

The whole Rocket Piano program is divided into mainly six ebooks covering everything from beginner to advance concepts. Two of these six ebooks feature Jazz and Gospel Piano styles which can really spice up your piano playing. And to make things even more entertaining and provide deep learning, there are 50+ video lessons complimenting these ebooks and making it easy for you to understand difficult concepts. These ebooks aren’t your everyday ebooks. The material in them is quality material, discussing everything from how a piano works to how to sit when playing piano to playing a complicated arpeggio in the scale of G minor etc. One of the things I liked was the ebook on advanced learning techniques. It had some great tips.

On top of that, you get a bunch of PC softwares like metronome etc which will prove to be really helpful during your practice sessions. Jam Tracks are another feature of Rocket Piano.

As you know that without practice and determination, nothing can be achieved. You can be shown the way but you need to walk on that path on your own. Learning and knowing how to play piano can be the most captivating and blissful thing  for some people whereas inspiring  and rewarding for others. But most people who try to learn to piano give up quite early because of the frustration of going nowhere and boring practice sessions. Quite frankly, patience and tenacity are two things a person requires when he/she decides to learn Piano.

Different Ways To Learn Piano:

•  The most conventional way of learning Piano is by hiring a Piano teacher to come to your home and teach you. Although this can sometimes prove to be pretty costly. If you can afford a Piano teacher, you should definitely hire one and take lessons starting from today itself.
• Another conventional way of learning Piano is by going to a music school and taking classes there. This is relatively cheaper than hiring a personal Piano teacher. Plus you get the benefit of learning in a group of aspiring pianists like yourself and make new friends sharing the same hobby.
• Some people choose to learn Piano on their own. You can buy a book, e-book, DVD etc on Piano Lessons or take a subscription to some website offering Piano Lessons. There are literally tons of such websites offering quality online piano lessons. But on the contrary,  if you are not willing to pay, then you can find pretty much thousands of free video piano lessons online on Youtube. These are more than enough to get you started and keep you occupied for months on your piano. Lessons on different playing styles, music theory, chords etc can be found there. I myself have been learning through Youtube from the past two years and let me tell you I am very proud of my Piano skills. But frankly, learning from Youtube can be a hassle sometimes. For example, you won’t know which video lesson to start from and which video lesson to watch next, of course this is no issue for some people but it wastes a bit of time, like having to search for video lessons one by one etc, is really a struggle for some people. Some people might feel lost.
